The Disabilities of Women as Teachers in the Church

The position and role of women has been addressed and debated in Christadelphian magazines throughout the years. This review gives examples of the arguments against women’s inclusion, and notes the expositional flaws.

Most modern readers will be embarrassed by what passed as reasons for prohibition around 100 years ago. Despite opposition, sisters’ contributions were welcomed and encouraged in some ecclesias, and samples of their defenders’ writings are also provided.
